This privacy policy applies to Trace Memory Game on the App Store (referred to throughout this document as "Trace" or "the app" — the home-screen icon, in-app branding, and bundle identifier all use the short form). Trace is a single-player memory-recall game for iOS. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data the app handles (essentially none) and how it is used.
Trace does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app does not require an account, does not include analytics services, and contains no advertising SDKs or tracking technologies of any kind.
Your game progress — completed shapes, best scores, stars, daily streak, Streak-mode best, plus app settings like haptics — is stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. App-only settings (haptics, sound, daily reminder, onboarding flag) stay on the device and never leave it.
If you are signed into iCloud, your game progress (per-shape best scores, stars, daily streak, Streak-mode bests) is synced across your Apple devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store. The data lives in your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it; there is no Trace server. To opt out, sign out of iCloud, or disable iCloud Drive for Trace in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.
While playing, your finger movements on the canvas are processed locally to score the round. The drawn strokes exist only in memory during a single round and are discarded as soon as the next round begins. Strokes are never written to disk, never transmitted, and never shared.
Trace offers a single one-time non-consumable purchase ("Trace Pro") that unlocks additional shape categories and the Streak game mode. Payment is processed directly by Apple via StoreKit. We never see your payment details. Apple returns only the verified purchase status to the app, which is then cached on your device. Refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.
Trace integrates Apple's Game Center for optional leaderboards and achievements. If you sign in to Game Center, your Game Center alias and score data are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not ours. We do not see your real name, email, or contacts — only the anonymous game-player ID Apple provides for our app. You can play the entire game without a Game Center account; sign-in is opt-in. To disable Game Center, go to iOS Settings → Game Center → sign out.
Trace makes no network requests of its own. The app is fully playable offline. The only external system the app contacts is Apple's StoreKit, and only when you initiate a purchase or restore.
Trace integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services. The app uses only first-party Apple frameworks (SwiftUI, StoreKit 2, UIKit).
Trace does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app contains no user-generated content, no social features, and no data collection of any kind.
When you tap "Share" after a round, Trace renders a result image locally and presents Apple's standard share sheet. The image and accompanying text are passed only to whichever app you choose to share to (Messages, Mail, Twitter, etc.). Nothing is shared automatically and nothing is sent to us.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.

Sind Sie bei iCloud angemeldet, wird Ihr Spielfortschritt (Bestpunktzahlen pro Form, Sterne, tägliche Serie, Streak-Bestleistung) zwischen Ihren Apple-Geräten über Apples iCloud Key-Value Store synchronisiert. Die Daten liegen ausschließlich in Ihrem persönlichen iCloud-Konto und unterliegen Apples Datenschutzerklärung. Wir haben keinerlei Zugriff darauf; es gibt keinen Trace-Server. Zur Deaktivierung melden Sie sich von iCloud ab oder schalten iCloud Drive für Trace unter iOS-Einstellungen → [Ihr Name] → iCloud → „Apps, die iCloud verwenden" aus.
Ihre Fingerbewegungen werden während einer Runde lokal verarbeitet, um die Punktzahl zu berechnen. Die gezeichneten Linien existieren nur im Arbeitsspeicher während einer einzelnen Runde und werden mit Beginn der nächsten Runde verworfen. Sie werden weder gespeichert noch übertragen.
Trace bietet einen einmaligen nicht verbrauchbaren Kauf ("Trace Pro") an, der zusätzliche Formenkategorien und den Streak-Modus freischaltet. Die Zahlung erfolgt direkt über Apple via StoreKit. Wir sehen Ihre Zahlungsdaten zu keinem Zeitpunkt. Apple übermittelt nur den verifizierten Kaufstatus an die App, der dann lokal auf Ihrem Gerät zwischengespeichert wird.
Trace nutzt optional Apples Game Center für Bestenlisten und Erfolge. Wenn Sie sich bei Game Center anmelden, werden Ihr Game-Center-Spitzname und Ihre Spielstände von Apple gemäß Apples Datenschutzerklärung verarbeitet, nicht von uns. Wir sehen weder Ihren echten Namen noch Ihre E-Mail oder Kontakte — lediglich die anonyme Spieler-ID, die Apple unserer App zur Verfügung stellt. Die Anmeldung ist freiwillig; Sie können das gesamte Spiel ohne Game-Center-Konto spielen.
Trace stellt keine eigenen Netzwerkanfragen. Die App funktioniert vollständig offline. Eine Verbindung zu Apple StoreKit erfolgt ausschließlich, wenn Sie einen Kauf oder eine Wiederherstellung initiieren.
Trace integriert keine Analyse-, Werbe-, Crash-Reporting- oder Tracking-Dienste von Drittanbietern. Die App verwendet ausschließlich Apple-eigene Frameworks (SwiftUI, StoreKit 2, UIKit).
